Spanish 2 Week 16

Monday – Review for tomorrow’s mini -test. Focus will be on vocabulary, but students will be expected to understand grammar(conjugations) as well.

Tuesday – Mini Test on all regular present tense verbs. There will be both grammar and vocabulary on the test. If time allows, we will become cumulative exam review.

Wednesday – Cumulative Exam review part 1. Rules for pronunciation, numbers 1-100, and basic greetings and introductions.

Thursday – Quiz over Greetings/Introductions and numbers 1-30. Continue review with likes/dislikes with related vocab (food words and activities,) weather expressions.

Friday – Quiz over likes and dislikes. Continue review with uses of ser with noun/adjective/article agreement. We will also include a review of estar along with related vocabulary. If time allows, we will discuss how the oral pronunciation portion of the test will work.

Spanish 2 Week 15

Monday  – Review test from before break.

Tuesday – Review of the verbs ser and estar with focus being on differentiating between the two.

Wednesday – Online activity practicing ser v estar.

Thursday –Quiz over ser v estar. After quiz we will add tener expressions thast are commonly confused with ser v estar phrases.

Friday – Begin review for Mid Term Cumulative Exam. Initial focus will be on basic conversational skills.

Spanish 2 Week 14

Monday  – Review conjugations of estar and common adjectives as well as other words and phrases used with estar.

Tuesday – Practice Test via Quizizz. Practice test will cover tener expressions as well as common adjectives and phrases used with estar.

Wednesday – Any students who KNOW they will be out tomorrow will take the test today in CIS room. All other students will begin an oral practice test which students should use as a study guide to prepare for tomorrow’s test.

Thursday – Test over tener expressions as well as common adjectives and phrases used with estar.

Friday – College and Career Fair Day

Monday – Review tener expressions and estar with adjectives.

Tuesday – Quizizz activity practicing tener expressions and estar with adjectives

Wednesday – Quiz over tener expressions meanings. Review weak areas from yesterday’s quizizz. Review estar adjs. for tomorrow’s quiz.

Thursday – Quiz over estar adjective meanings. Begin Ser v estar review

Friday – Oral pronunciation practice using ser v estar.

Spanish 2 Week 12

Monday – Continuation of dialogs with “ser” and adjectives from last week. Review quiz words from list two…alto – inteligente. Review uses of tener with hair color and eye color.

Tuesday – Practice test for Thursday’s test.

Wednesday – Review struggle areas from practice test. We will also practice for oral listening portion of test.

Thursday – Test over Subject pronouns, uses of tener with hair color and eye color, conjugations of ser, and noun adjective agreement. Test will cover grammar structures, as well as vocabulary.

Friday – Test corrections if necessary. If corrections are not necessary, we will begin reviewing numbers 0-100 followed by telling time, as well as other tener expressions.

Spanish 2 Week 11

Monday – Review handouts from Friday. Students will read the correct answers out loud for review of both pronunciation as well as grammar comprehension. Complete Quizizz if time remains.

Tuesday – Review Quizizz from Friday and Monday. Review the 50 descriptive adjectives used with “ser” that we reviewed last week. We will combine the use of these adjectives with already learned nouns as well as subject pronouns and ser. We will focus on top 20 words for a quiz tomorrow.

Wednesday – Quiz over vocab. Activity practicing use of the remaining descriptive adjectives learned last week combined with the subject and verb. If time allows, we will do an online practice activity for tomorrow’s part 2 vocab quiz.

Thursday – Part 2 vocab quiz over descriptive adjectives. Students will get into groups of four and create a short dialog describe one another. They MUST use at least 20 different adjectives amongst the group.

Friday – Presentation of dialogs from yesterday.

Spanish 2 Week 10

Monday – No School

Tuesday – Students will be reviewed on use of ser with subject pronouns to describe people and things. Descriptive adjective vocab words will be listed for students.

Wednesday –  Online activity practicing the use of subject pronouns only. This will be posted to Google Classroom. It will include noun adj. agreement, but it will not require vocab memorization yet. If time allows, we will review the vocab through oral pronunciation practice.

Thursday – We will review the online activity from yesterday, focusing on weak areas.

Friday – I will be out today…there will be an online activity that will be similar to Wednesday’s activity; however, this one will include the use of the newly learned vocab words.

Spanish 2 Week 9

Monday – Quizizz Activity – Nine Weeks Practice test.

Tuesday – Nine Weeks Practice Test part 2. We will review common weak areas to make sure students are prepared for tomorrow’s test.

Wednesday – Nine Weeks Exam

Thursday – Test Corrections from Nine Weeks Exam – we will also use this as test make up. If time allows, we will begin with oral pronunciation grade.

Friday – Students will ask and respond to questions using information found on Nine Weeks Test . This will count as a pronunciation grade.

Spanish 2 Week 8

Monday – Continuation of uses of gustar with other pronouns (you,[formal] he,(him) she(her) we, (us) you[pl](y’all) they(them). Review food vocab words for quiz on Wednesday.

Tuesday – We will go over rubric for likes/dislikes project. Quizizz activity using gustar with all pronouns.

Wednesday – Food words vocabulary quiz. Gustar with pronouns quiz review. Likes/dislikes project.

Thursday – Gustar with pronouns quiz. Likes/dislikes project

Friday – Likes/dislikes project. Remind student s these are due MONDAY by 8:00 AM. If anyone turns in today there will be bonus points added. If any students finish early, they can begin doing the subject pronoun review activity.

Spanish 2 Week 7

Monday – Presentation of Talking about activities Vocabulario. Introduce I like/I don’t like to be used with new vocabulary. We will also review “Do you like…?

Tuesday – Gimkit practicing new vocabulary from yesterday. We will add food vocab to be used with discussions abpout foods that are liked and not liked. We will expand the I like/I don’t like to include plural items as well.

Wednesday – Quiz over vocab (talking about activities.) Quizizz activity practing use og gustar with all new vocab,

Thursday – Gimkit on remaining vocab to practice before quiz.  We will take a quiz over food vocabulary.

Friday – No School
